I just got T2 laz0rs and have decided that I'd like to give the Crusader a chance. (I'm already a huge fan of the Malediction) I've got enough experience flying interceptors to know what to do and what not to do but I've never set foot into a that laser-packing sex-wagon.
Since I've got no experience flying the 'Sader I screwed around in EFT a bit but couldn't find a setup that looked promising. Does anyone have any suggestions to help out a fledgling Crusader pilot?

What am I doing wrong?
Actually youre not doing anything wrong. Your fit is fine really. If you want a really tailored fit you have to exactly know HOW you are going to fly it and against what.
Your setup is cheap and ganks inties pretty well. Solid for anti inty work in messy fleet fights. Not so good as a tackler because of short point range and sub web range operation.
The 17km pulse setup is allround good for soloing and is easy to use. Skill intense though, cap and speed wise.
Generally the pulse setups are much better then beams. Id only suggest using beams if you are a poor noob and dont want to die all the time and have just started learning to fly the ship or if you are only out to solo t1 cruisers in it by slowly wearing them down. |

Is it me or does noone like to use Dual Light Beam Laser II's ? I know it doesn't have the pulses tracking, but they seemed to work well if I nano'd the hole thing up
Edit: Cuz they don't leave that much space behind, you can fitt a T2 mwd and T2 scram IIRC.
The problem of DLB is not really the tracking, its the pathetic damage that is teh sux.

Not worth it. You wont end up with more damage or range because you need fittings stuff. Its not worth fitting them, Ive tried already.

Problem is, as I said, that you gain nothing by doing that. Post any fit with mpl and I can show you a dlp fit that does basically the same or even better.

Yeah but the problem is that the same range with both fits the mpl fit ends up using up more grid/cpu. If i remember correctly. I once went all EFT warrior on this particular problem and I simply couldnt find any reason to fit mpl. Not for range nor damage advantage.
